I recently had the opportunity to do some photography for a large Philly real estate firm. The opportunity came through the company I work for, Color Reflections. We were asked to make fence banners for the location of the old Thaddeus Stevens School of Practice / Mural Arts Building where EBRM is revamping as an apartment complex.
One of the VP's escorted me to the top of the Mural Arts Building to capture the incredible views of the city.
I also went to a couple other of their properties and shot interiors, such as pools, gyms...and even interiors of a living unit to capture living space - bedroom, kitchen, living room, etc. Here are photos of the fence banners that show the various other photos I took:
My son Alex and I set out on a fun day to take pictures and generally goof off in Atlantic City this past November. A nor'easter storm made for some dramatic shots...such as:
Crazy Mouse *The Famous Steel Pier on the AC Boardwalk
Rough Surf *exactly what the title says :)
Under the Boardwalk *under the Steel Pier
BUT, who knew that my son would almost be engulfed and carried off by a gnarly wave coming over top of a jetty!
All's well that ends well, though......he was safe, my camera was safe...and we had a helluva time down there.
Empty Sky - the 9/11 Tribute at Liberty State Park in Jersey City NJ.
I am an avid Flickr user - if you're not familiar, it's a social photo sharing site. They recently revamped the design and here I tested one of the new features.....an "Embed" code that allows me to share my Flickr photos on various forums, such as here on my blog. The cool thing is that it links right back to my Flickr Photostream without having to leave where you are now.....

Hey Folks! I'm very excited to tell you that I have been selected as one of a few Philadelphia artists to have my work showcased at the newly renovated Commerce Square at 20th & Market, downtown Philly. My very own photo essay will consist of 90 images that will run as a slide show on a 22 foot x 16 foot digital media screen (see below photos) and will last 10 minutes. How cool is that??
MY ESSAY WILL RUN TOMORROW - April 9 between 9-11 am and 5- 7 pm, plus it will run 2-3x per week through at least the summer.
In case you're not aware, Thomas Realty Partners just completed a $25 million renovation project to create this awesome gathering area of dining, shopping, drinking....and it's all centered around this glorious courtyard with a fountain and this gigantic video screen. Come one down, grab a drink and a bite to eat and enjoy the Darren LoPrinzi's Photography, as well as the work of other local Philly artists!
